How important is the hijab in Islam
and what is the difference between burqa and hijab
Many Muslim women in the whole world including India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, America, England, wear a large cloth from head to toe which is called 'Hijab'. But what is the real meaning of hijab?
In many cultures of the world, women are said to keep their head and hair covered. In Islam, women are said to cover themselves in front of all men other than their father and husband. In such a situation, women use a special type of garment to cover themselves. Many Muslim women in the whole world including India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, America, England, wear a big cloth from head to toe which is called Hijab.
There are many beliefs about the hijab all over the world. Whereas in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, in many places, men slash women who have come out of their homes without hair cover and even threaten to kill women, in many countries of Europe, the ban on wearing it Fitted to. According to the Danish Prime Minister, no woman in her country can roam in public with her face covered.
While on the one hand there are concepts about the hijab of Muslim women on religious and social level, on the other hand it also confuses the non-Muslims. Hijab, burqa, nakab, abaya, al-amira - so many but their work is the same, covering the body and hair of a woman, so that no man's 'faith' deviates from seeing him! During the conversation, we use these costumes instead of each other, but there is some fundamental difference in some of them.
Hijab: The curtain of the meaning of Hijab in Modern Islam. The Hijab in the Quran is not related to clothes, but as a curtain between women and men. In the Quran, both Muslim men and women have been instructed to wear decent clothes. Here the words Khimar (to cover the head) and Zilbab (cloak) for clothes are mentioned. Under the Hijab, both women and men have been asked to wear loose and comfortable clothes, as well as to cover their heads.
Mask: A mask or niqab is a cloth to hide the face. In this, the head is completely covered. Nowhere in Islam is it said to cover the face, but only to hide the head and hair from the clothes. But in fundamentalist countries, women have orders to hide their faces. In such a situation, the job of the mask is to keep the eyes open, covering the face. This cloth of mask comes to the chest covering the neck and shoulders of women. It is usually a black colored cloth that is soldered with the help of a pin.
Burqa: In India, we often call the burqa-like dress worn by Muslim women. Actually the burqa is something different than that. The next level of the mask is the burqa. Where the whole face is covered except the eyes in the mask, the burqa also has eyes covered. In place of the eyes, either a thin mesh fabric is made or the cloth is light so that it can be seen through it. Along with this, there is a non-fitting cloak on the whole body. It is often of the same color so as not to attract non-men.
Al-Amira: It is a set of two clothes. A cloth is worn over the head like a hat. The second cloth is slightly larger, which is wrapped on the head and covered on the chest.
Abaya: This is the dress which is called burqa in India. Actually in the Middle East it is called Abaya. It is a long covered dress that women put on any cloth worn inside. It has a scarf for the head with only the hair covered and the face open. Now, according to fashion, these many colors have started coming.
Dupatta: In Pakistan and India, Muslim women also use dupatta to cover their heads with salwar-kameez. The scarf is only part of the salwar-kameez. Its main purpose is to cover the head. Apart from Islam, Hindu women also have to wear cloth on their head in many places in India. In many places of Rajasthan and Haryana, women have to do all the household work by covering their faces.
